28 year old Negovan came to New York City from Belgrade, Serbia eight years ago, after a short stint in Texas where he studied English. He began dreaming about a life in the U.S. at seventeen, while the former countries of Yugoslavia were at war. The war took up most of his teenage years, although he remembers his life then as comfortable, though rockets often scratched the nearby sky while he played cards on his apartment balcony. His first sexual experience with a man occurred with a gentleman he met on the streets of New York shortly after his arrival. Prior to that, however, he recalls many enjoyable sexual relationships with women. He’s now studying at the New York College of Technology, and hopes to secure a comfortable and normal life in America.
