Beijing, China (August 8): Even at the Olympics Jelena is never too busy to do her part for the cause of children. On the first day of the Olympics Jelena was invited by the UNICEF China office to help with a gala event called Champions for Children. She was asked to help advocate for equality for girls at this very high profile event that focused on the most vulnerable children. In China there is still much discrimination against young girls because of strong traditionalattitudes favoring male children. She was joined by Chinese movie star Jackie Chan.
